the Royal Geelong Show!
From cattle to sheep, chickens to goats, sheep dog demonstrations, horse events, rabbits, dogs and donkeys, there is sure to be an animal display or competition to please everyone, and the best part is they are FREE!
A family favourite at the Royal Geelong Show, Harry’s Bendigo Bank Farmyard is full of farmyard friends to pat and cuddle.
Mooo’s’, baaaaa’s, ‘oooohs’ and ‘ahhhs’ fill the pavilion as people young and old cuddle, pat and feed the numerous baby goats, piglets, bunnies, lambs and chicks.
At the Sheep, Shearing and Wool Pavilion over 1,000 Sheep come to the Show to be judged on their meat, wool or breeding on Thursday, Friday & Saturday.
Shearing demonstrations and competitions provides some fantastic family entertainment whilst the clever ladies from Woolcraft show off their spinning talent through demonstrations.
The “hands on” Woolcraft workshop is a fantastic free activity for the kids to enjoy!
Don’t forget on Sunday to check out the Rabbit competitions in the Sheep, Shearing and Wool Pavilion.
These adorable bundles of fluff come in all shapes and sizes and are just too cute!
It is almost impossible to come to the Royal Geelong Show without seeing one of the many Horse competition events on the Main Arena.
From Dressage and Show Jumping to Miniature Ponies and Harness, there are numerous events occurring throughout every day of the Show.

Head to the Cattle Pavilion and Judging Rings to see the Cattle competitions. Since the very first Geelong Show in 1855, the Cattle Competitions have always been a highlight for entrants and show goers alike, showcasing the region's finest cattle.
From beef to dairy, bulls to heifers and even calves dressed up in fancy clothes, there is a competition for everyone to enjoy!

The Cattle Judging Rings are also home to the Donkey Competitions on the Saturday of the Show. These furry friends are a crowd favourite!
Don’t forget to watch the Donkey Derby race on the Main Arena at 12.30pm on Saturday 19 October for some real donkey action!

Different breeds of Dogs are judged Friday & Saturday at the Dog Lawn near Gate 1. There will be some cool moves from our pedigree pooches on the agility lawn and their shining coats are sure to impress.
You will be astounded at the talent of the dogs in the Dog Jump Competition on Sunday. Located on the Main Arena near the broadcast van, these doggies sure know how to leap at great heights! Remember to stick around for the Terrier Racing which is held straight after the Dog Jump Competitions. Remember if you have a dog under 35cm who is capable of lightning fast speeds, come along and enter them on the day!
Sheep dog demonstrations are something worth watching and can be found on the Main Arena on Sunday. The agility and skill shown by these talented dogs will mesmerize the whole family!

The Poultry Pavilion is always a quacking delight! It is where you will see some remarkable Chooks and Ducks of all shapes, sizes and feathers in show.
Fancy Pigeons are on parade on the Poultry Pavilion on Sunday. These colourful birds create a fanciful display with all their feathered frills and are a wonderful sight to see!
